Photonic crystal fibers (PCFs) are a kind of specialty optical fibers that demonstrate a diversity of new and improved features beyond what conventional optical fibers can offer. In this talk, the PCFs and their applications in different fields will be discussed. Particularly Mid-infrared supercontinuum generation in PCFs and Slow-light generation in PCF will be the main focus of this talk.
