Dielectric resonator (DR) arrays operating at microwave frequencies offer a wide range of applications and serve as convenient experimental models for projecting their properties to higher frequencies up to optics. In this talk, I will discuss the problem of providing double negativity in DR arrays; describe different approaches to cloaking using dielectric materials and metamaterials; and present several antenna designs utilizing dielectric properties, including designs of antenna structures for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
