Abstract
We show that photons with orbital angular momentum can be produced in helical undulators. To madel a helical undulator and electron in the field of a plane monochromatic circularly-polarized electromagnetic wave is considered. Special emphasis is put on the detection scheme, which plays crucial role in generating twisted photons due to quantum entanglement.
