Nonlinear chiral metasurfaces represent a rapidly emerging frontier at the intersection of chiral nanophotonics and nonlinear optics. Unlike natural materials with inherently weak optical activity, these artificially engineered platforms exploit resonances to dramatically enhance circular dichroism and nonlinear frequency conversion. Recent advances have shown that strong nonlinear chiral responses can be achieved even in systems exhibiting an achiral linear response, and the concept has been extended to new material platforms. Collectively, these developments establish nonlinear chiral metaphotonics as a powerful and versatile approach for controlling the handedness of light, with promising implications for biosensing and advanced metadevices. In this seminar, I will present our group's recent results in this field.
