For the last several years there was particular progress in the active all-dielectric nanophotonics. In this talk, I will focus on overviewing the recent advances in this field and also will report how one can enhance the light emission from quantum dot ensembles embedded in silicon nanopillars. We take advantage of the collective high-Q resonant modes in a linear array of nanopillars and show the photoluminescence enhancement in such a system. The time-resolved measurements in single nanopillars will be also discussed within the talk. The work is done in close collaboration with the University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, and the Institute of Physic of Microstructures, Nizhniy Novgorod.
