The invention and development of the laser have revolutionized science, technology, and industry. Metal halide perovskites are an emerging class of semiconductors holding promising potential in further advancing the laser technology. In this Report, we provide an overview of metal halide perovskite nano- and microlasers from the viewpoint of cavity design and fabrication challenges. We discuss how to: (i) achieve ultimately small perovskite nanolasers employing Mie resonances, (ii) efficiently integrate tunable microlasers with nanowaveguides; and (iii) demonstrate up-scaled perovskite lasers fabrication.
