Microwave seminar | 27 December 2021
The project is dedicated to the development of acoustic methods and devices for medicine and public health. First of all we investigate a possibility to detect various lung diseases utilizing signal processing of physiological sounds. Analysing the data collected via the developed device we demonstrate that such diseases as COPD, asthma and pneumonia may be distinguished using the developing methods. Another branch of the project is aimed to find ways to reduce morbidity of diseases caused by noise pollution. To access this problem we develop the structure for passive broadband noise insulation based on locally coupled Helmholtz resonators and demonstrate its performance numerically and experimentally.
