Quantum Droplets in Two-Component Atomic Mixtures (Open Seminar of the Frontier Laboratory "Functional Materials for Polaritonic Quantum Logic")

Abstract
We will talk about quantum droplets, i.e. self-localized states forming in atomic Bose-Einstein condensates in a regime when corrections to the mean-field energy become non-negligible and prevent the condensate from collapsing. In addition to a general overview of the field, several specific problems will be discussed, in particular, research of the mobility of quantum droplets in periodic optical traps.
