We consider excitation of plasmonic nanoantennas by tunneling electrons, and shows that the quantum efficiency of the excitation is very low (10^-4 - 10^-6) in structures with conventional (nonresonant) tunneling, and can be increased substantially (be several orders!) in structures with Quantum Wells when can take place resonant tunneling.
