On 10-15 october 2011 the Fifth International Congress on Advanced Electromagnetic Materials in Microwaves and Optics - Metamaterials '2011 was held in Barcelona (Spain).\ Barcelona attracted more than 380 participants with authors coming from 33 countries. Yuri Kivshar gave oral talk on "Shaping of light in metamaterials and plasmonic structures". Pavel Voroshilov presented poster: "Performance of multi-segment nanolens for a near-field transport in the visible domain". The next congress will take place in Saint Petersburg (Russia), during the third week of September 2012, chair of the Local Organizing Committee is Pavel Belov.
