‘Time-varying metamaterials’
Abstract: Time variation of parameters in metamaterials represents additional degree of freedom in design, which opens up novel possibilities. In particular, using modulation both in time and in space, time reversal symmetry can be broken, enabling nonreciprocal devices such as circulators. Frequency shifts of the input signal are possible as well.In this talk, recent publications on this topic will be reviewed.
