'Leaky-wave antennas: operational principles and possible applications in ultra-high-field MRI'
Abstract: In this presentation, we overview operational principles, various types and existing designs of leaky-wave antennas. We highlight their useful electromagnetic properties and consider practical approaches to their design. Finally, we discuss possible applications of leaky-wave antennas as transmitting and receiving elements of body and head arrays for ultra-high-field MRI. Recent results on leaky-wave MRI coils are summarized.
