'Purcell effect and modelling the Purcell factor at microwaves'

Abstract: In this talk, three most important cases of the Purcell effect in nanophotonics are considered - Purcell in fluorescence, Purcell in thermal emission and Purcell in Raman spectroscopy. The main attention is paid to the Purcell effect for so-called super-Planckian thermal emission. The author of this talk has suggested to achieve it with the samples of wire media. Extensive numerical simulations have shown that the adequate model experiments can be done in the microwave range using Al wires. An overview of these experiements shows that microwave modeling is a tool of affordable and rapid study of some nanophotonic structures.
