PostDoc in the QuasiLab group

We are looking for an employee for the group of projects "Phase change materials" (experiment and theory) and for other projects in the area of "Resonant dielectric photonics" (mainly theory). It is possible to open a project in a new area, taking into account the interests of the group and the applicant, including an applied project.


  • Planning and organizing works on research projects, performing tasks within the framework of projects, engaging students and PhD students in work;
  • Publishing scientific papers;
  • Attracting financing, both individually and together with colleagues (applying for grants, search for commercial partners);
  • Talks at conferences and seminars;
  • Participation in educational activities (teaching practical and laboratory classes, holding exams, supervising projects of Bachelor’s students).


  • A PhD degree or a Russian degree: Candidate of Physical and Mathematical/Chemical/Engineering sciences;
  • Working experience in one or several areas listed above;
  • Independent writing skills: ability to write papers, reports, etc. in Russian and English;
  • Papers published in high-rated journals (IF > 3), including papers as a first author (1-2 per year) or as a corresponding author; 
  • Experience of presenting at international conferences;
  • Knowledge of English: B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or a higher level; 
  • Sharing the principles and values of the Faculty.

This would be an advantage:

  • Teaching and mentoring experience;
  • Experience of supervising students and/or PhD students; 
  • Software packages skills;  
  • Recommendations from a research team leader (from the place of PhD thesis defense, or from the previous job);
  • Having patents;
  • Experience in submitting grant applications and leading grant projects;
  • Personal scholarships, awards, internships, joint programs;
  • Working experience abroad.
