Abstract
The study of non-Hermitian effects in topological systems is a recent research avenue. Such systems exhibit a number of interesting effects not typical for Hermitian systems. An example of such kind is the non-Hermitian skin effect (NHSE), which consists in localization of all eigenstates at the boundary of the system. Here, we show that the perturbations on top of topological edge state in the nonlinear one-dimensional Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model are described by a non-Hermitian nonlinear Hamiltonian and also exhibit a non-Hermitian skin effect depending on the phase of the perturbations.
