Wire medium is a famous metamaterial that breaks the diffraction limit and has a unique imaging properties. The analytical and numerical studies on half and quarter wavelength lenses made of this metamaterial performed. The influence of the host medium as well as the magnetic response from the thick wires noticed and investigated. The experimental study of the magnifying wire medium lens is targeted.
