'Optical resonance effects in semiconductor monocrystalline and tubular nanostructures' (based on PhD thesis)
Abstract: This talk is devoted to the materials of the phd thesis. The main topic of the dissertation is about some resonant effects in semiconductor nanostructures of different type: InN or GaN cup cavities, GaN nanocolumns, photonic crystals with complex unit cell and MoS2 nanotubes. We will briefly discuss effects of the light enhancement and temperature-dependent switching between optical modes in resonators, “slow light” (in photonic crystals), and will concentrate on polarization-dependent photoluminescence (PL) of van der Waals MoS2 nanotube resonators and their possibility of formation of exciton-polaritons that influences the PL. Finally, we will discuss the main findings of the dissertation to be defended.
