About the Department oh Physics and Engineering
The Department of Physics and Engineering of the ITMO University is a creative synergy of honorary professors, young ambitious scientists and students. During the ten years of working together, we have grown from a small laboratory to a large research center, where the most relevant research areas are developing today and educational programs are being implemented.
Study at the Department
While studying at the Department you get a high-quality education in the field of physics. Bachelors begin to participate in scientific work during the last undergraduate courses and magister students are full-fledged members of the scientific center. Our graduates are working in the best laboratories and high-tech companies around the world.
Scientific research at the Department
We are engaged in theoretical and experimental researches in areas such as nanophotonics, metamaterials, topological photonics, radio physics, quantum optics, plasmonics, etc. The works are published in world peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Photos, videos, educational materials
